Website strategy
The Faculty of Arts at the University of British Columbia had close to 50 disparate websites for each of its schools, departments, and programs, and its 16,000 students couldn’t tell which were authentic and which were potential phishing scams.
I led a multidisciplinary team that designed and developed new brand guidelines for these sites, including site templates and content style guides. The team of seven included two designers, two writers, a developer, and a photographer. Over three years, we redesigned and created content for more than 20 sites.
The Department of Philosophy site won the 2013 New Media Standard of Excellence Award, and was a Silver Award Winner in the Education category at the W3 Awards.
